" I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow to push the Marine Wildlife Conservation Club to even further limits, leaving it in a place off success once I graduate next year, as well as to learn from the fantastic network of people in the fellowship. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Marine Wildlife Conservation Club

The Marine Wildlife Conservation Club is a club on campus that is dedicated to the preservation of our oceans and beaches as well as our marine wildlife. We work with local organizations to go on beach cleanups and help educate the public on issues plaguing our oceans.

This fall we worked with a few partner organizations to assist with three events. The first was a sensory inclusion event at the New England Aquarium which allowed access to the aquarium to people that don't usually attend and have access to such experiences. The second event was the "recycle wars", an event on campus that encouraged college students to reuse items and recycle more in a fun and engaging light, empowering them to do more to keep our oceans clean. The third is an upcoming partnership with the school dance club that will allow us to both fundraise at their annual showcase event but also cast a wider net and educate people that may not have been interested or heard f out cause otherwise.
