Millennium Fellowship Project: Oral Health Education And Awareness
Oral Health Education And Awareness project has taking it upon itself to reduce and totally eliminate the ineffective communication between the privileged and the underprivileged in Education and Healthcare (especially Oral Health) in Nigeria. With recent developments in Education and Healthcare, it becomes difficult for those underpriviledged (those living in a remote community and those internally displaced of their homes either by crisis or any other means), to get first hand knowledge or treatment as they are often left behind due to the due to the incessant nature of poor governance in my Country. With the aim of bridging the gap between the Privileged and the Underprivileged, Oral Health Education And Awareness has organized various out reaches in rural communities and Internally Displaced People's Camp in my country with support from Doctors and Medical Students who are volunteers. Support from Doctors and Medical Students has made a tremendous change in different remote communities where they educate and enlighten people both in kind and friendly manner. The project team consist of the founder, public relation officer and projects location director that has worked with other volunteers to actualize the aim. The project has reached out to three communities and one internally displaced people's camp where about two hundred and fifty persons has been educated and one hundred and twenty person received free dental treatment at our reach according to statis from the inception of our first project to date. By the end of 2018, we hope to reach out to one thousand people both in rural communities and internally displaced people's camp.
