ABOUT THE MILLENNIUM FELLOWSHIP - CLASS OF 2019
United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. In the three months the application was open in 2019, over 7,000 young leaders applied to join the Class of 2019 on 1,209 campuses across 135 nations. 69 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 805 Millennium Fellows.
During the Millennium Fellowship, Millennium Fellows' dedicated 96,705 hours and their 422 unique projects positively impacted the lives of 564,366 people worldwide.

Millennium Fellowship Project: Orphans kNOw More
Orphans kNOw More (OkM) is a project that focuses on orphanages that lack the facilities and equipment for the providence of quality education. This project helps renovate rooms into libraries by providing books, stationary and furniture, which they can't afford due to lack of funds. I intend to raise awareness and provide the Orphanages, that are not paid heed to, with the necessities and if possible luxuries too in order to meliorate the education system for them. With this platform and support I am aiming to broaden the work by the employment of teachers, to educate kids academically and also focus on their co-curricular activities with the help of better education supplies and equipment in other orphanages too. Education breaks the cycle of poverty and hopelessness and it enables the children to look forward to a bright future with good careers. It inspires, enables and impacts entire communities.
About the Millennium Fellow
Tayyaba Younas is majoring in Accounting and Finance from National University of Science and Technology in Islamabad, Pakistan. She is an empathetic and a motivated individual looking to be a part of a positive change that makes this world a better place to live in. She loves new experiences and exposures that would help her evolve as a better human being.
She believes in the power of faith, discipline, courage, team work, positive vibes and most importantly love and passion which are also cornerstones of her work design in any project.
