" Millennium Fellowship is a platinum opportunity to interact with young leaders from various parts of the world. It will not only help to increase the impact created by the project in a very effective way but also help us as individuals to become more professional, confident and responsible. The Fellowship will guide us well throughout the course and help us work dedicatedly for the attainment of the SDGs. All the fellows will work together as a team, brain storming and hence exploring and executing the ideas thereby quenching our thirst to see a better tomorrow. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project NOOR
Project NOOR is the community outreach program of my college which has two wings associated to it. First, teaching the children of the underprivileged sections of the society. The team teaches these children and a few adults in order to uplift them academically and help them to avail different scholarships. Second, the team took an initiative with the central idea of uplifting the community of Manual scavengers financially by indulging them in a job other than manual scavenging. We work with one such community of women and strive hard to make them independent and successful entrepreneurs. This year, we aim to involve and teach more adults as we realise the importance of adult literacy. Inspite of the pandemic we've successfully reached to families through online platforms thus continuing with the teaching process. In the second wing of the project, we aim to increase the revenue of the women and also increase our reach by involvement of more communities and providing them decent work
