" I am very excited to be working with a team of enthusiastic and grounded individuals! As a conscientious global citizen, I feel the urge to start putting in my effort to save our burning earth, flames getting even bigger as I sit here typing. I find the lack of consciousness and awareness about the urgency of these issues really disturbing and it drives me towards action. It may be too late to prevent the oncoming crisis but the least I can do is do my bit in softening the blow. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Campus Climate Collective
Our vision is to facilitate the creation of sustainable, scalable and easily-replicable instruments to combat climate change locally and globally. We aim to do this by incentivising innovation, facilitating interdisciplinary research, and helping consolidate efforts from various climate action bodies on campus. We will hold an orientation session for newly-joining undergraduate and post-graduate students (2000+ students) sensitizing them about the campus and their role in it, making them aware of the field of climate change technology and research (research opportunities, climate action groups, career options, etc.) We plan to host 3 talks with eminent personalities in the field of climate action, each from academic, activist and political/diplomatic perspectives, reaching at least 100 people each. We will create an online knowledge and resource sharing platform for researchers on campus in the field of climate technologies, across departments, to share and update the status of their work.
