" I am very excited to be a Millennium Fellow because I believe I will be able to learn alot from people who belong to different regions of the world. I will be able to share my thoughts and ideas with other people and we all will be able to work together to bring a change. Most Importantly I will be able to work on my project of providing basic education to the underprivileged children so that they can have a bright future and the goal of universal education can be accomplished. I do the work I do because I like interacting with children and because I love to teach them and also because I know that only education has the power to change lives and also because it is a powerful tool for closing the gap in social inequality "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Sunshine
Project Sunshine
Through project sunshine my aim is to make
little children aware about the importance of
education and teach them the basics of
education from counting numbers to
understanding colors and alphabets as these
basics will lay a bedrock for so much more to
come. I will try to include more people who
genuinely wanted to contribute for society in
my project and will also call for volunteers. In
class I will focus on having a healthy
conversation to know each child better,
organizing fun sessions to teach basics,
having lunch together and I will also try to
kindle their curiosity. I aim to reach out the
parents of these children so that I can ask
them to enroll their ward in a school. Also, I
am also planning to connect the children with
a few NGO'S so that later with the help of
these organizations the children can go on to
pursue formal education. My aim is to make
the little children realize the potential they
have within so that they can choose a path in
life through which they can achieve their
dreams and we can bridge the gap that exists
in society.
