In 2021, over 25,000 young leaders on 2,000+ campuses across 153 nations applied to join the Class of 2021. 136 campuses worldwide (just 6%) were selected to host the 2,000+ Millennium Fellows. Millennium Fellowship Project: The College Equity Project
The College Equity Project is a project focused on making the higher education process more equitable. In the Miami-Dade Public School system, there is a dispairty between the best and worst schools in the country. This project seeks to look for alums from high schools in the area to help give back to students seeking to apply to colleges and univerisites.
About the Millennium Fellow
Gerald Torres-Soto is an international relations student at Florida International University. As a global citizen, he has had the experience of living across the US and South Korea. The differences in education systems he saw made him passionate about advocating for quality education for all. In this endeavor, he has always gone out of his way to mentor his peers on the best path forward to achieve their dreams. Gerald aspires to be in a professional field where he can travel the world helping achieve an equitable education for everyone.
