" The dream of making my life meaningful by putting it to use for others is what drives me to reach for opportunities that will help me expand my horizons. The Millennium Fellowship Program is such an opportunity. Through it, I hope to make a global and communal impact while aligning my goals with those of the United Nations' Sustainable Developmental Goals. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: The Mental Health Revolution
The Mental Health Revolution is an individual project led by the Millennium Fellow Maryam Javaid. It aims to remove the stigmas surrounding mental health starting from the Bahria University Campus to eventually the global society. This will be done through open talks, seminars, and group activities with students and faculty regarding the stigmas they might have faced, how to deal with them, and how to identify and remove the internalized misconceptions they might have had in relation to mental health. It is projected that atleast 3 such events will be held on campus during the August - December 2022 Fellowship period involving the whole student body and the faculty.
