Millennium Fellowship Project: Project TG-95
My project is to basically design and manufacture a cheap, affordable, eco-friendly, biodegradable face mask. The idea is to produce a mask based on jute fibres that will be readily biodegradable, comfortable, non-allergenic, non-carcinogenic and most importantly have no footprints on our mother nature
About the Millennium Fellow
Ahmed Tahmid is a socially active, morally sound and environmentally conscious Microbiology final year undergrad at Brac University. Being born and brought up in the diverse atmosphere of Chittagong, he had exposure to the rich heritage and quality education from the early days. Inspired by the polluted surrdoundings during the pandemic, he determined on combatting and mitigating this crisis to his full ability. To ensure the safeguard of our environment for the future generation to have a livable, green earth, Tahmid has presented his idea in pivotal platforms through which it can be implemented, adopted and utilized to make an impactful change in the lives of thousands. In a nutshell, Tahmid aspires to do his part to ensure a better environment for the future leaders from his microbiological perspectives which also serves Climate Action(the 13th goal) to say the least of many Sustainable Development Goals.
