" Creativity and inquisitive character drive my desire to search and explore more about antibiotics and antibiotic resistance and after that make the subject important by writing and researching on it to publicize it and increase awareness for it . I am excited to be a Millennium Fellow because it will give me an opportunity to meet like minded people with whom we can share ideas on how to achieve our different goals and create meaningful connections and social networks. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Tweyonje Campaign

The project is called the Tweyonje campaign and it is about improving sanitation and the personal hygiene of the community through various activities including mass sensitization.

About the Millennium Fellow

Jonathan Babuya is a young enthusiastic passionate and determined youth from Busitema University. He was born in Bundibugyo district, Uganda. His early days in the remote district were full of traumatic experiences of the different health impacts of antimicrobial resistances due to limited access to sufficient antibiotics that always led to sharing of antibiotics and followed by inability to get cured. He since then developed a desire to address this in correspondence to sustainable development goal of Good heath and well being. He is now a passionate AMR champion.
