" The Millennium Fellowship is a terrific opportunity to help inspire and recognize young people who are working toward better, sustainable societies by advancing the SDGs. I am excited to meet motivated campus leaders and change-makers who are committed to similar values. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Policy Trainings Series, Roosevelt Network Economic Policy Coordinator

For my UN Millennium Fellow project, I am continuing my work as the Policy Coordinator of the Roosevelt Network, which trains, develops, and supports emerging progressive policymakers and advocates across the US, focusing on communities historically denied political power. The Network has 130 college chapters across nearly 40 states and is affiliated with the Roosevelt Institute. I advise and support all economic policy projects spearheaded by student members, in addition to evaluating and editing submissions to Roosevelt 10 Ideas, the largest undergraduate public policy journal in the United States.

As the National Economic Policy Coordinator, I advise students working on policy projects at the local and campus level that advance SDG 8—promoting sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all—and SDG 10—reducing inequality. I also serve as a mentor and educator for individual Network affiliates, including Forge Fellows and Emerging Fellows, who are selected to complete independent policy research and advocacy projects. I provide a range of support, skills and content training, and curated assistance to students throughout the year, promoting UNAI 6—encouraging global citizenship through education.
