Millennium Fellowship Project: CUEA Mental Health Movement
We are a collective of students passionate about mental wellness. We are working towards building a community of individuals from all across the mental health space to foster meaningful conversations, help for the young people in our community going through difficult time and equipping them with tools towards achieving a healthy mind.
About the Millennium Fellow
Kipkemei Joy Jeptarus is a young, bright and competitive Psychology student at the
Catholic University of Eastern Africa (Nairobi, Kenya). She was born in Baringo Kenya,
resides in Nairobi and currently studying in Catholic University Langata Campus. For as
long as she can remember, she has always been an advocate of mental health and
beneficial change in the society. This drive and passion towards community service is
what has give Joy the experience and motivation to help the youth and the community
to develop. Through her primary, high school and currently in her university days, she
has successfully managed to be part of and come up with philanthropic associations
and mental heath organisations that offer aid and service to the community, which
through her proficient leadership skills she plans to proceed with the into the future.
Joy plans to be a professional in her field where she can nurture, cultivate and even
train young mental health champions and advocates to raise awareness of mental
health issues affecting the society and even give proper solutions to solving the Mental
Health Crisis in our country Kenya.
