Millennium Fellowship Project: Project Divit
Project Divit is a social welfare project which focuses on SDG 4 i.e. ‘quality education’. Our project has been trying to help provide quality education to the children from underprivileged backgrounds in the local community (near and in Delhi, India). The scope of this project can be extended even to national and in fact even international horizons. This will enable the reach to expand to more children in need and who do not
have access to quality education already. Furthermore, the project can be expanded to cover more aspects beyond helping provide education to children. There is a scope for helping teachers and providers in the field
of education to better understand what is quality education and how to ensure this quality education for the children. Further, the scope of the project can be expanded by take into account skill development and other
skill oriented education. This will make sure that the education system that we currently practice which is job-oriented becomes skill-oriented. This will ensure more value addition as well as more holistic development
of the students. Project Divit currently is focused on spreading awareness for the importance of quality education in parts of Delhi and the nearby areas. The project focuses on both the children and the service
providers such as teachers, school management, etc. By making use of this project we launch various awareness drives, and volunteering classes for ensuring and enhancing accessibility of quality education for the children.
