" My love for the community and my passion for the cause have made me who I am and also, is the reason why I am excited to join the MCN class of 2022. Meeting and interacting with Fellows from all around the world is something I am looking forward to, this will allow me to learn and gain a new perspective on life that I might have never thought of. This experience will not only help in my growth as an individual but will also help in strengthening my vision for the project. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Project RISE
Project RISE is a self-driven initiative taken in collaboration with the Enabling Unit and Equal Opportunity Cell of Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi. We seek to raise inclusive skills and employment among students with disabilities. The project provides professional training to the PwD students studying at IPCW to develop their confidence, language fluency and life skills. We have successfully trained around 50 students so far and the effort has been personally recognized and appreciated by the college. Bilingual-audio based Course Modules are developed under the project. This is developed keeping in mind the challenges faced by the visually impaired. Furthermore, our trainers aid the students in building confidence. Our training is free of cost and involves different fun-loving games along with personality development activities. The students can also earn a certificate as long as they fulfil the 60% attendance criteria. As a result of our project, the PwD students at IPCW can cherish their dreams and move further along in their career paths.
