Millennium Fellowship Project: Swoccha Sahar
Our project aims to aware the public about the unmanaged waste disposing system of Nepal. We focus on primary school children mostly of grade 3-4 where we hope to instill good waste managing habits in them. We want the children to know about the proper ways to dispose all kinds of waste. We go to different primary schools and conduct workshops related to waste management. We also hope to make the public aware about the waste management system of Nepal through our social media page.
About the Millennium Fellow
Akshita Shrestha is a creative, dedicated and hardworking individual. She is pursuing her undergraduate degree in biotechnology at the Kathmandu University because she aspires to be a science entrepreneur. She is also passionate about the climate change and the concerning impacts of Global warming. She was born in Kathmandu but travelled a lot in her childhood which made her love the idea of exploring and experiencing a new culture. She has done volunteering in her high school years because she is empathetic and wants to help the people in need.
