United Nations Academic Impact and MCN are proud to partner on the Millennium Fellowship. Over 31,000 young leaders on 2,400+ campuses across 140+ nations applied to join the Class of 2022.  200+ campuses worldwide (just 8%) were selected to host the 3,000+ Millennium Fellows.

" If someone doesn't have access to educational opportunities or resources to hone their potential, the world should not be devoid of innovative and creative minds. As someone who has personally experienced the lack of access to quality education in the past, I desire to impact people's lives, specifically those who can't acquire quality education. Millennium Fellowship is undoubtedly a significant step toward realizing my potential as a changemaker. I eagerly look forward to becoming a part of the Millennium Fellowship community and collaborating with other Fellows to make a meaningful difference. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Coding for All

The project was aimed at teaching young children in Turkey the basics of technology and coding to spread awareness about technology/coding as a skill and advance SDG 4 of improving quality education. The project helped in spreading awareness about technology specifically among young children in Turkey.

About the Millennium Fellow

Hamza is a passionate public speaker and a tech enthusiast determined to work towards social impact. He is an undergraduate majoring in computer engineering at Koc University, located in the beautiful city of Istanbul, Turkey. Born in a geopolitically disputed region of Kashmir devoid of quality education, he is deeply motivated to work towards social impact and foster change in people’s lives through education. In line with the development of the United Nations’ Sustainable Goals, he wants to enhance quality educational opportunities and resources for children through technological awareness. As a budding leader, he aspires to work on initiatives that support his goals of exposing and educating young minds to become the problem-solvers that the world needs.
