" "Knowledge and creativity are powerful when used effectively". Actively learning new skills and information in a good environment is significant in the youth's mind. Being a part of this program will provide me with the opportunities to make a difference, no matter the size, in my community. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Beyond Boundaries

"Beyond Boundaries" is a project that aims in helping High-school students in choosing the career major that suits their desired lifestyle, skills, and values. We planned on implementing after-school workshops for high schoolers that provide mental health awareness sessions, career guidance, and self-determination skills. This project aimed to enhance the teaching and learning quality in Lebanese schools. There will be direct interactions with the students during the 2 months of implementing the project through workshops that could provide better communication and leadership skills and the ability to adapt to the complex changes happening in Lebanon. This initiative will influence the community by decreasing dropout rates, fulfilling students' aspirations, and opening new perspectives. We wanted to target one specific school and work with them.

About the Millennium Fellow

Nada Tofailli is a psychology student at the Lebanese American university. She was born in the US and raised in Lebanon, her country. She wants to continue her master's degree in clinical psychology and hopefully return to her country in order to provide mental health services to those struggling in our unstable country. She strives for Lebanon's youth to feel secure and prioritize their well-being. She initially joined the Millennium Fellowship program to enhance her leadership and communication skills for her future endeavors. Now she wants to focus on providing better quality education and educating the youth on mental well-being and personal growth.
