Millennium Fellowship Project: Amani Mental Health and Fitness Program
It was a project to use the fitness center based in campus as a form of releasing stress among fellow students by improving the facility by looking for better machines for working out for mental health.
About the Millennium Fellow
Samuel Ouya is young Global Citizen who is currently undertaking his undergraduate law degree in Moi University Kenya. Growing up in Homa bay county in Gwasii village in the interior parts of Kenya with occupants from a law income class majorly depending on small scale farming for food and even school fee, Samuel has witnessed a great number of students from the village drop out of school in secondary and the few that manage to finish end up not pursuing education further because of financial inability to underte the same. With this background Samuel is very passionate about Higher quality education for disadvantaged students in schools. He has helped to found an Organization in the University that is keen to look on how to help alleviate students who are suffering from lack of school fees and accommodation in the campus.
He hopes that the organization will grow even beyond Moi University to other Universities around Kenya and beyond to see that Kenya and Africa at large attain SDG Higher quality education.
