" "Carving out a progressive day by ridding off the exclusionary and shaming practices through unconventional and ingenious discussion of Reproductive health and menstrual hygiene."
Menstruation-related teasing taboos and stigma envelop the perception of society. Crusading a revision of this mindset remains my holy grail. Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will further enhance the magnitude of such social impact. My objective is to empower women whose dignity is often undermined by forcing them to use unsafe sanitation facilities and menstrual supplies. Awareness programs informed discussions, and outreach sessions on sustainable sexual and reproductive health with the insistence on menstrual leave encapsulate my framework in the way of recognition of human dignity and basic natural rights, the realisation of which is my resolution. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Meraki: For all

The educated and Progressive classes still shy away from the mere fact that there is a need to be aware of one's sexual and reproductive health. The Project aims to start a dialogue on a topic that is considered to be taboo, even in the most advanced areas. We hope to bring informed discussion and dialogue in this area with the utmost consideration of dignity. Menstruation a cycle of biological changes that take place in a woman or girl’s reproductive system is absurdly perceived as dirty and shameful. Our objective is to empower women to use safe hygienic facilities, and sustainable sanitary products and lobby for menstrual leave to reduce the hindrance in work faced by women during menstruation.
