" “Doing what I can do to create a better society little by little is what I want. I enjoy the moment when the surrounding people smile at me, so I hope more people could have smiles on their faces with my help. I’m excited that here’s a chance to organize creative activities while demonstrating my leadership. " "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Future Economics

Sustainable Future Economics attempts to raise awareness about already existing innovative economic models that can help us build a sustainable and equitable future. Our project provides accessible and simplified information about three economic models: Circular economy, Doughnut economics, and Degrowth. We understand that linear economy is prepared to tackle 21st challenges and hope that by informing the public about alternative models, we can inspire economic transformation

About the Millennium Fellow

Yuqian Zhang is a bright and warm-hearted student at New York University. She was born in China and is now studying in New York. For as long as she can remember, Yuqian has always been passionate about different areas such as economics, psychology, math, politics, and philosophy, which could bring her more inspiration. Due to her MUN experience throughout high school, she realized that people in the world were staying in different situations, but many of which had much room for improvement. Since then, she has considered helping people to have a better life and changing the world from little things. She believes solving each surrounding person’s difficulties could bring a tremendous social impact.
