" Without a plan, a goal is only a wish, but my objectives are the reality of my life as they will be in the future. In the future year, I picture myself working alongside a team of intelligent people who are dedicated to helping society as a whole. Participating in the Millennium Fellowship will help me to develop these abilities together. With the
knowledge and abilities, I learn from the Millennium Fellowship, I will be able to have a social influence that is more real and consistent with the UNAI ideals and SDGs on the communities of art and education. I'm eager to develop my anticipatory skills through imagining innovative approaches to education and creativity. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Humans First

Our project focuses on the mental and emotional health of students in grades 11 and 12, especially those appearing for competitive exams such as JEE and NEET. We want to understand where they have the most issues and help upcoming batches have a better, less stressful, and more enriching experience as they go through some of the most critical years of their lives. Our solution entails connecting these students with mentors, who are essentially ex-students that given these same exams. After a little training, they will be able to guide the mentees and help them through these tough times.

About the Millennium Fellow

Vikas come from a place where nature is ‘still' beautiful, and miles from today’s
concrete jungle. Traditional values and culture ‘still' stand above all, where people ‘still' share joy and sorrow as a community. Every Indian village has its own story to tell and Vikas represent one such, short, but ‘still’ interesting, story.
He is highly renowned for his academic accomplishments and extracurricular pursuits and has received AIR scores of 2, 5, and 12 in several tests. In his hamlet, he launched the "food for everyone" programme, which encouraged residents to contribute prepared but unused food that would subsequently be distributed to those in need. He has always believed that because God has given us the chance to serve others, we should do so without hesitation. Since he comes from a lowly family and is aware of how terrible it is to go to sleep without food, he has chosen to take the initiative and envisions a day when nobody goes to sleep without food. He has successfully spearheaded several charitable initiatives and anti-hunger activities since he was in high school, and he intends to do so in the future thanks to his great leadership.
