" "I believe community and conversation should be at the forefront of any social movement. In my case, it's not just at the forefront but entirely necessary. By working with my cohort, I hope to gain a better understanding of the community I am apart of and from that create a better project that is more tailored to said community. I am excited to be a Fellow because of that, I serve my community and to be apart of one like MCN, where innovation and discussion is encouraged, would help me be a better community leader, and member. " "

Millennium Fellowship Project: The Trauma-Informed Classroom Toolkit

I want to create a toolkit for students and a toolkit for teachers that would help them use trauma-informed strategies when they are in the classroom to then make that classroom a better learning environment.

About the Millennium Fellow

Aryaa Moudgal is currently a junior at Pace University, majoring in both Political Science and Peace and Justice Studies. For as long as she can remember, Aryaa has been passionate about equitable education and the ways in which it helps people. Through her project, she hopes that her campus will become a model in trauma-informed teaching, and lead other colleges to do the same. After graduation, Aryaa intends to seek a masters degree in international law and travel, to help gain a better perspective on how international law can serve academic communities globally.
