" Being a Millennium Fellow would be a great opportunity for me to develop my personal skills, most significantly the ability to connect effectively with my peers and encourage initiatives at our university. Moreover, I can even leave an impact on other universities through sharing my ideas with international students through the Millenniumship. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Q-Environment
Q-Environment is a project focuses on SDG 12 which is "Responsible Consumption and Production", and mainly on substantially reducing waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse.
Through our project we aim to promote sustainable practices related to the environment, such as recycling and composting. One such example would be to promote the reuse of notes among university students. There is no need to re-print the same slides when one has access to reused notes.
Our team also aims to hold hands-on workshops at our university to encourage people to recycle at home in addition to teaching them the basics of composting and how to avoid single use plastics as well.
To measure the impact, we can keep track of the number of the people who attend our workshops and get feedback from them.
