" "In the belief that a thousand miles begin with a single step, I believe that working with this organization on my initiative will be the first step for me. Here, I will begin to address the education and employment issues that Middle Easterners face. By being the voice for the voiceless, I will make every effort to spread my help around many countries whose governments fail to provide enough support for their educational and employment needs. Thus, I am confident this organization will pave the way for further projects in the future." "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Edutar

Edutar is a project that is focused on SDG 4: Quality education. The main goal is to make education more accessible to others. Through a series of educational sessions and an interactive learning platform, a group of bright youth will be raising awareness and making a change

About the Millennium Fellow

Sara Kasim Ali is 21 years old, who belongs to an ethnic minority group in Iraq. In the late 1990s, Iraq's devastating circumstances forced her family to immigrate to Qatar, where she was born. Currently, Sara studies Computer Science at Qatar University's College of Engineering. Sara throughout her life has struggled greatly to access education due to her non-local status in the Gulf and the absence of a homeland that can offer a bright future for her. As with other graduates in a similar situation as hers, Sara will face further challenges in finding employment once she graduates. In response to these feelings and concerns, along with the increase in unemployed graduates in the Middle East, I intend to take advantage of the knowledge and experience unemployed graduates possess by hiring them to assist those who are unable to access education, thereby benefiting both important components of our society at the same time.
