Strathmore University | Nairobi, Kenya | Advancing SDG 4 & UNAI 3
" I am excited to push myself along the lines of social impact. It has been a dream of mine to be a force for good, and working with like-minded people is a grand opportunity to learn, and foster the talents I believe I currently possess. Millennium Fellows are an inspiring lot and I am glad to be counted as one. "
Millennium Fellowship Project: Mobile Career Clinic
The basis of this project is to mobilize Strathmore students to go to different rural primary schools to educate the students on the intricacies of selecting various career paths. Having many different courses offered at Strathmore, different perspectives could come forth and give insight to the students who wish to pursue such jobs.
The goal is to motivate a number of these students to think beyond their stations and encourage them to work harder to achieve their goals. We believe speaking to different mentors would broaden their horizons and show them that the world is much more than what they know.
The fairs would ideally take place thrice or twice a month whereby a different school would be toured each day, or two schools would be visited at once.
