Millennium Fellowship Project: Zenith Youth Project
The Zenith Youth Project is a non-governmental organization with the objective of promoting health and wellbeing among the youth, particularly in Uganda. This is accomplished through health education, nutritional guidance, lifestyle changes, and providing professional assistance to community members. The aim is to reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cancer, and mental health disorders, as well as addressing current mental health concerns.
About the Millennium Fellow
Candia Godwin Ivan is a fifth-year medical student at Uganda Christian University School of Medicine. He was born in Arua, Uganda and grew up in Kyebando, Kampala, Uganda. Ivan firmly believes that social factors have a significant impact on disease patterns. He is passionate about using effective leadership, implementing sound policies, raising awareness, combating harmful social practices, dispelling misinformation, and advocating for adequate funding to expedite progress towards achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Health for All).
