Millennium Fellowship Project: Friends of Nature
The friends of nature project is a community project where Millennium Fellow Momoh Blessing is the Assistant Director of Marketing and communications. The project aims at addressing issues associated with the environment and also provides environmental education to members of the community relating to SDG 6, Clean water and sanitation. The project aims to engage community members, and leaders to address issues associated with sanitation practices, hygiene and easy accessibility to clean water. During the fellowship program, we will be hosting an online event to speak to young people about how to create a sustainable community and how they can represent a susceptible community. Onsite activities to engage members of the communities including children will follow. We are aiming to reach out to 200 people at these events.
About the Millennium Fellow
Momoh Blessing is a young, eloquent and globally competitive plant biology and biotechnology undergraduate at the prestigious university of Benin, Nigeria. She was born in Lagos, resides in Alagbado in Nigeria, and is currently studying in Benin, Nigeria. For as long as she could remember, Blessing has always been passionate about nature, the environment and the rate at which people's ignorance has led to the degradation of the environment, for example, air pollution, plastic pollution, etc. This drive has led to her involvement in a school organization known as Friends of nature and Is currently a content creator and assistant director of marketing and communications. She has successfully joined organized projects and social enlightenment movements, which she plans to continue moving forward. Blessing aspires to be in a professional field where she can cultivate these advocacies and provide her contribute to the development of the united Nation's Sustainable Goals.
