" My art and work are driven by creativity and adaptability, which are fueled by methodical thinking. Being a part of the Millennium Fellowship will help me develop these abilities in a group setting. My social effect on schools and artistic communities will be tangible as a result of the skills I gained during the Millennium Fellowship which are linked with the UNAI values and SDGs. I'm looking forward to expanding my anticipatory skills by imagining a new learning and creative approaches. "

Millennium Fellowship Project: Zero Malaria Africa Initiative

"Zero Malaria Africa Initiative" is a project led by Millennium fellow, Adejoh Desmond
a Pharmacy student at the university of Jos with a team of social change makers to innovate for collective impact to end malaria. Malaria has
always been a global health challenge. Therefore, this project is geared towards
ensuring a reduction in malaria burden and eventually eradicating malaria.
-During the millennium fellowship program (August to December 2022). I hope to
host a minimum of 2 online or offline programs or outreach
regarding malaria prevention and eradication and the effects of malaria on both young
and old and also pregnant mothers. To educate the people on malaria control and prevention and to share medical supplies such as, insecticides, mosquito reppellants creams, mosquito nets and anti-malaria drugs to people in remote and rural areas.

About the Millennium Fellow

Desmond Adejoh is a brilliant, youthful and globally competitive Pharmacy student (Doctor of pharmacy) at the prestigious university of Jos. He was born in Nigeria, now resides in Kogi state and is pursuing his education in Jos, plateau state.
Desmond has always been passionate about health, a global health enthusiast and also loves making impacts. He is also passionate about social justice and right to good health advocacies.
His passion towards ensuring a malaria free Africa is a top priority and also stemmed his "Eradicating Malaria Project "(EMP).
Desmond aspires to be in a professional field where he can cultivate his advocacies further and provide his own contributions in the development of the United Nations Sustainable goals.
