Millennium Fellowship Project: But First! Mental Health
This projects aims to raise awareness about mental health espacially destigmatising seeking psychological support among medical students, It has many phases including , youth in schools , woman in work places , medical care personnals, however through this fellowship I chose to traget Medical students as they undergo many stressors and are overwhelmed with expectations , anxiety , stress , sleep deprivations etc risking their mental health and denying the importance of seeking psychcological support
About the Millennium Fellow
Haya Al-Kubati is an undergraduate 5th year medical student in 21 September University of Medical and Applied Sciences in Sana’a ,Yemen .Haya is passionate about volunteering , social action projects and advocating for the SDGs.
As a medical student , she aims to connect the knowledge she acquires into a practical social action projects based on community needs.Through her project she aims to destigmatize mental health issues among medical students and health care providers by increasing awareness and normalising seeking psychological help and support . As Haya being an Arab voice ambassador 2022 by the Arab youth Centre in AbuDhabi ,She thinks beyond a single action project and will be working on a mental health podcast to reach a bigger audience.
