Millennium Fellowship Project: Preclinical Medical Student Preparation Program
The educational system in Medical Universities is divided into 2 phases a preclinical
and clinical phase. Which are a complete different environmental conditions, as the
first phase is in the university between your colleagues while the second is in the
Hospitals which is a epicenter of infectious diseases, and dealing with patients in close contact. PFrom here the need of my project necessary. Which is a preparation program for medical students in between the 2 phases to minimize the gab in between. This
prepration program will include:
1-Awareness of infection control protecting their selves, their Families, and Patients.
2- Mental health support to how to accept the change between the 2 phases and ways to deal with it.
3- Basic clinical skills with infection control precautions.
4- vaccination needed to be taken by student to protect theirselies.

My name is Salma Ali Al-Shami. I study at the University of 21 of September for Medical and Applied Sciences in the Faculty of Medicine. I aspire to be a good influencer in society and to improve the way of life in my country, Yemen.
