Millennium Fellowship Project: SENSITIZATION ON SEXUALLY TRANSMISSIBLE INFECTIONS (STIs)
The project was aimed to reach out to about 2000 secondary school students on prevention of sexually transmissible infections, like HIV, Hepatitis B, Chlamydia, syphilis, and gonorrhea and equally vaccinate 100 students.
This project was carried out in collaboration with HEALTHi FIRST a local campus organization which is out to improve preventive medicine. This project was initiated as a result of increase in the prevalence of STIs in the Bamenda town notably hepatitis B. To achieve this we targeted youths from age of 15-29 of age specifically secondary school students Which is believed to be the most sexually active population out of marriage.
