Millennium Fellowship Project: Combatting Period poverty through health Education and Advocacy
The project involves Educating my community and Teenage girls on mentrual health and mentrual hygiene, as well as generally sensitizing them. It also involves donating of sanitary towels to school going girl children to take away the stigma that comes with lacking basic needs such as sanitary towels so as to encourage them being in school.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mary Njamba is a student at The Copperbelt University medical school currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and surgery. She strongly believes in giving back to the community and that life doesn’t always come with a manual but instead it presents itself with life changing opportunities for one to pour out their heart to the community. She is passionate about SDG3 “Good health and well-being “ as well as SDG4, with much respect for all other SDG’s.
