Millennium Fellowship Project: Psychological and mortality among olds
In this study, we conducted a prospective cohort analysis to explore the association between PRW and mortality among the oldest old population in China. Specifically, we included adults aged 80 and above who participated in the baseline survey between 1998 and 2022 and followed them until 2022. To further understand the linkage between PRW and mortality, we examined and quantified the impact of six groups of factors, including social factors, cognitive function, lifestyle behaviors, self-rated health, chronic diseases, and functional status.
