Millennium Fellowship Project: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Consulting Intiative

There is a current rapid increase in development and investment in DEI-centered roles and responsibilities leadership. This project aimed to work initially at the campus level and then scale upwards. Thus, it was identified that while students with leadership roles are passionate and interested in fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within their organizations, many are engaging with this work for the first time.

With the impactful work being done in student organizations to help Georgia Tech students find community, it is critical to provide these leaders and organizations with the resources necessary to amplify their impact. This initiative specifically aligns with our institution’s goal “to strengthen our culture of well-being and create an environment of holistic learning where all members of our community can grow and learn to lead healthy, purposeful, impactful lives.” Through this initiative, student leaders will receive resources, training, and support through connection to campus resources and through community with other leaders.

Furthermore, this initiative aimed to address issues with resource access that may be inhibiting the ability of communities to maximize their potential. Thus, a DEI consulting structure and program was developed.
