Millennium Fellowship Project: TUNE

TUNE, an innovative project that aims to reduce the harmful effects of single-use plastics and raise awareness about marine ecosystems. TUNE focuses on both individual and industrial use of single-use plastics, with a strong emphasis on Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water).

Recognizing the need for transformative solutions beyond simple awareness campaigns, TUNE utilizes hydrodipping, electroplating, and anodizing techniques to create sustainable and visually appealing alternatives to single-use plastics.

Hydrodipping involves immersing objects in water to transfer intricate and vibrant designs onto them. This not only produces visually attractive products but also showcases the beauty of marine life, fostering a deeper connection and appreciation for the ocean.

Furthermore, TUNE applies electroplating and anodizing processes to enhance the durability and longevity of its products. By coating materials with protective layers, TUNE ensures that its items can withstand the test of time, reducing the reliance on disposable plastics.
