Millennium Fellowship Project: ADIRA
Project Adira is dedicated to empowering women from suburban and rural areas by offering vocational training courses. The primary goal is to equip them with marketable skills, enabling them to secure sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their children. This initiative is aimed at fostering independence and ensuring a secure future for these women.
In collaboration with a private entity, we have expanded our impact to the education sector. Through this partnership, we provide pre-primary and primary education to students in the same geographical areas. Notably, our focus is on students predominantly raised in single-parent households, reinforcing our commitment to addressing the unique challenges faced by these families.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ria Sindwani, an aspiring engineering student at the prestigious Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, comes from the bustling capital of Delhi, NCR, India. Ria radiates an endless amount of energy and is a mesmerizing combination of passion, unwavering dedication, and never-ending chatter. Empathy reverberates in her soul, naturally creating bonds that last.
Her advocacy transcends the boundaries of technology. With a heart aflame, Ria fights for the universal right to education, particularly for the marginalized, while empowering women through upskilling and pursuing financial independence. Her inspiring proclamation resounds, "Ladies and gentlemen, fasten your seatbelts, as we shatter ceilings and illuminate new horizons together."
