Millennium Fellowship Project: Eco-Bytes: Revolutionizing Sustainability in Digital Spaces
The project is meant to encourage sustainable cloud services adoption. I would focus on gathering data on major cloud providers' sustainability initiatives and if the company wasn't catering for green computing, I would reach out to encourage them to deviate towards a more green energy source. This project recognizes that data centers, powering the vast array of digital services, are significant energy consumers and, consequently, substantial contributors to carbon emissions. This initiative is not just about technological change but also about fostering a community and culture that prioritizes sustainability in the digital age.
About the Millennium Fellow
Ari B. is a Computer Science major. Her initial journey into sustainability began from an interest in green computing, which led to a research study on IoT devices and its correlations to environmental technology. Arielle was able to work on how IoT devices could be optimized for energy efficiency, and she only hopes to further her studies in sustainable technology to create a larger impact on our future environment.
