Millennium Fellowship Project: Subh-e-Noo
"Subh-e-Noo" means morning of hope, a fresh start. This project is meant to revive hope and compassion among the society, specially youth. It represents a movement that continues to resolve social issues, elevate society through its actions and promote empathy, compassion, volunteerism and selfless devotion for a cause.
Subh-e-Noo is my initiative as part of Millennium Fellowship Program 2023. It encompasses multiple projects from different domains spanning from " Conference on Child Domestic Labor", "Visit to Animal Shelter", and "Blood Donation Camp at PIEAS University"
SDGs Targeted thought out the project:
• SDG 3: Good health and well-being
• SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth
• SDG 15: Life on Land
The project was collaborative with an activism based student society from my campus: PIEAS Volunteers Society, to work on relevant SDGs to execute projects bringing positive impact in lives of people in my community and around the world.
About the Millennium Fellow
Mohtashim Asif is a senior Metallurgy and Materials Engineering student at PIEAS University, Islamabad, Pakistan.
He hails from a nation of hospitality, pure people and diversely vibrant cultures, embodying its values. From a land that produced figures like Iqbal, AbdusSalam and Edhi, he carries the legacy of service. Amid economic challenges, he aims to spark hope in people while empowering those around him. Through this program, he endeavors to hone his leadership skills to drive change in his community.
