Millennium Fellowship Project: Climate Change and Mental Health-Mindful Sustainability: Unraveling the Climate-Mental Health Nexus with SDG4

My project explores the intricate connections between climate change and mental health through the lens of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4). The project aims to deepen understanding, raise awareness, and foster practical solutions for communities facing the dual challenges of environmental change and its impact on mental well-being. By integrating mindfulness practices and SDG4 principles, the project seeks to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the evolving landscape of climate-related stressors.

It also envisions a holistic approach that emphasizes the interconnectedness of personal well-being, education, and environmental consciousness as essential components of a resilient and sustainable future.

About the Millennium Fellow

My name is Juliana Muthui. I am a student at Pioneer International University, pursuing International Relations and Diplomacy in International Development. I believe that young people in the world today have a major impact in creating a sustainable world for every person. With the guidance from the Millennium Fellowship, our group will improve our leadership skills and be able to create innovative solutions to achieve a more sustainable world for all.

Thanks to the Millennium Fellowship, I have been able to start an organization called the GreenPsych Alliance to discuss more on eco-conscious living and mindful well-being.
