Millennium Fellowship Project: Mental Health Awareness Campaign

Project Mental Health Awareness Campaign for Secondary School Students (Ages 14-17). We propose an engaging and informative Mental Health Awareness Campaign aimed at secondary school students aged 14 to 17. This campaign seeks to raise awareness about mental health issues, reduce stigma, and provide students with essential coping strategies and resources to promote their emotional well-being. By fostering open conversations and providing education, we aim to create a mentally healthier school environment.
Our Objectives:
- Raise awareness about various mental health issues, their signs, and symptoms among secondary school students.
- Reduce stigma associated with mental health problems and encourage open conversations about emotional well-being.
- Equip students with practical coping strategies, stress management techniques, and self-care practices.
- Provide information about available mental health resources and support systems.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that prioritizes mental well-being.
Target Audience:
Secondary school students aged 14 to 17, teachers, and school staff
Awareness Sessions:
- Guest speakers sharing personal experiences to humanize mental health issues and inspire empathy.

About the Millennium Fellow

Aishatu Hammanjoda Usman is a young lady that is passionate about leadership and by that she believes that the best empowerment to give a girl-child is the skills to be able to lead herself and make social impact.
