Millennium Fellowship Project: Sustainable Livelihoods Initiative Kibagare
The Sustainable Livelihoods Initiative is a youth led organization that focuses on promoting proper waste management in Kibagare slum through domestic waste segregation. Also, the initiative advocates for better sanitation by providing clean water, providing toilets and doing continous community sensitization.
About the Millennium Fellow
Roselyne Wakaba is a final year student at The Technical University of Kenya pursuing a bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Planning. She is passionate about designing and creating livable spaces that prioritize the well-being of people. She is effective in coordinating studies and surveys to fully explore each option to support long term community health and growth. Through her project, she hopes to help Kibagare slum become a forerunner in environmental sustainability. After she graduates, Roselyne plans to earn a master's degree in global affairs.
