The project was geared towards zero hunger and in the process empower women economically. I trained them on organic farming and sourced seeds from magarini subcounty since they get seeds that are drought resistant. I shared the seeds with the women in the project and we all had great yields. We grew okra, eggplants, tomatoes, sukumawiki(kales), pumpkins, thorn melons and cowpeas. The produce was aimed for household use and the surplus was sold in the local market and some of the neighbours came to buy them at the gardens.
