Millennium Fellowship Project: Cultivando Escuelas
A programme planned to be include in elementary school, the main objetive is to teach children the importance of nature and that we are part of it, not an external element. Every topic has the teory and practical part, together bring the tools for children for create solutions based on sustentability that solve infraestructure problems in their school
About the Millennium Fellow
María Fernanda Castillo is a student of Sustainable Innovation and Energy Engineering at the University of Monterrey, NL, Mexico. Having successfully completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme, her academic background is complemented by strong principles that guide her to help others and work together for all living beings. Currently, she is working as a research assistant in the study of Sustainable Mobility.
Fernanda is aware of her country’s educational and environmental needs. The belief in the possibility of a healthy relationship between nature and human society has inspired her project, Cultivando Escuelas, which will improve the quality of public education and motivate a new generation to change their minds and put hands in action for the environment.
