Millennium Fellowship Project: VermiGreen

VermiGreen; is a project that aims at producing Vermicompost by combining farm wastes (such as manure, grass, etc.) and earthworms at medium scale to large scale.
It has vision of reducing production cost of agricultural inputs in western province of Rwanda and contributing to sustainable agriculture by improving soil health.
It has an impact of using human hair thus reducing their exposure to the environment.

About the Millennium Fellow

Pacific mugwiza is a young motivated, curious and adventurous always looking for new things to learn and explore. He lives in Gasabo district, Kigali city in Rwanda in a family of five children and he got lucky to have all the parents at the moment. He is working on his bachelors’ degree in crop science based in crop production. He likes taking many challenges often faced by the world including food security as the way he started the project of making the compost for attaining sustainable development.
