Millennium Fellowship Project: For My Sisters
"For My Sisters" is a transformative project that aims to address an essential need for girls in underprivileged communities: access to sanitary towels. This initiative champions the provision of free, quality sanitary towels to girls who lack reliable access, empowering them to break barriers and focus on their education and personal growth.
About the Millennium Fellow
Malek Joseph was born in war-torn South Sudan. Spent most of his young years running from loud bangs, from an enemy he could not see, years that should have been spent playing in puddles and climbing trees. The world started off on a very scary note for him. Despite the rollercoaster ride, Malek always had a dream that the world could be better, people could doo better. He was not always good at it, I mean 'pobody's nerfect', a saying by one of his favourite characters from one of his favourite TV shows, but he always set out to be an example, always diving headfirst wherever he saw an opportunity to make a difference. He did have a few more ups and downs, made a few bad decisions, but he always took each experience as a lesson, a learning experience and picked himself up. He knew very well that complaining would do nobody any good. He was always determined to be stubbornly positive, stupidly curious, and achingly determined too dream a better world into reality!
