Millennium Fellowship Project: For My Sisters
"For My Sisters" is a transformative project that aims to address an essential need for girls in underprivileged communities: access to sanitary towels. This initiative champions the provision of free, quality sanitary towels to girls who lack reliable access, empowering them to break barriers and focus on their education and personal growth.
About the Millennium Fellow
Samantha Folashade is a senior at United States International University, Nairobi Kenya studying Applied Computer Technology with a focus in Software Development. Samantha is passionate about creating social impact using technology by reaching underprivileged communities in Kenya and bridging the existing digital gaps in such communities. Through her project, Samantha hopes to address sustainable goal 4 'Education for all' by using her skills to teach information technology and promote awareness of technology to public schools and encourage students to pursue STEM related subjects when transitioning to high school and then pursue a degree at the university. Samantha dreams of igniting a trail of tech-loving minds on the path to higher education.
